Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS), also known as atypical pneumonia, is characterized by systemic toxicity symptoms and respiratory symptoms. During the early stages, individuals typically experience fever, with body temperatures usually exceeding 38 degrees Celsius. This can manifest as irregular fever patterns such as remittent or sustained fever, often accompanied by chills. Approximately 50% of patients also report joint and muscle aches, headaches, and fatigue.
